Friedhofen Castle: Exhibition, Culture and Wedding

The in 2002 renovated Friedhofen castle represents in stylish ambience of a Hammer manor central areas of mining.

Around 100 historical tools from the Saline mining, collected and preserved by Saline board Hofrat Dr. Winfried Aubell, make up the bulk of the modern collection.

Interesting historical tools from the former coal mining Tollinggraben, which private collection came from the Bauer family, a selection of marrow cutters from the 16th till the 20th century (loans of Montan-university Leoben) with miners lamps from around the world complete the exhibition.

Friedhofen castle offers also a varied cultural offer (theater and concerts).

You are also welcome to celebrate your wedding or birthday at the caslte. The stately building offers a wonderful frame for the most beautiful day of your life.
